OH LA LA! That is all that I can say about today. This is just a quick note to let you all know that today was almost as unbelievable as Rome! Another tidbit, I know it may be expensive but I would HIGHLY recommend that when in Paris, you hire a local quide. We did and let me tell you, I got sooooo much more. Not only did she help us in getting around the city, I learned the history and was able to ask questions that I would not have been from a book.
Today, we did an all day tour of Versailles and let me tell you, now I can understand why the woman was beheaded! Amazing! Unbelievable! Jaw-dropping luxury that stunns you to silence. AND I took over 650 pictures. I think about 100 or so are blurred because many of the places did not allow flash and so I took extra to be on the safe side.
I saw dancing fountains, grottos, rich tapestries, amazing mirrors and the most wonderful pre-existing Disneyland before Disneyland was even invented. Lots of details but everyone here is glaring at me. We just got back from Versailles and I was so sticky that I took a shower which delayed us all from eating.
Notre Dame was amazing more details on that later.
Oh yeah, the weather here in Paris is SOOOOO WEIRD! We had to buy scarves to cover us since it was grey, misty and beyond gloomy the entire stay from Wednesday to Sunday. I hope when we get to Disneyland Paris it lightens up.
